Brooks grew up as an only child in the suburbs outside of Detroit, Michigan. She was raised catholic and comes from a strict religious family, and attended catholic school in her formative years. She then later after high school went to college and graduated with a degree in Business Management.
After college Brooks decided that she did not having the patience to go medical school to become a veterinarian or doctor, so she decided to do something different and did a nude photo shoot. The idea of doing a shoot was nothing new to Abbey as she had done some modeling as a child at age 7.
